From next season, Channel 4 and TNT Sports will broadcast the Adobe Women’s FA Cup in the first-ever stand-alone broadcast deal for the competition.
The new deal will cover the next three seasons and will see the Adobe Women’s FA Cup gain increased exposure across the two channels in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.
Live coverage will start in October. TNT Sports will broadcast 19 matches across the season, with one game shown from both the First and Second Round of the competition. Channel 4 will then televise six matches in todtal – one match per round from the Third Round onward and before sharing the Final with TNT Sports in May.
“This is a significant moment for the Adobe Women’s FA Cup,” the FA’s Chief Executive Mark Bullingham said. “We have two broadcast partners who are deeply committed to growing the competition and taking it to new audiences over the next three seasons. Channel 4 and TNT are brilliant sports broadcasters and are the perfect combination for this very special tournament. We are delighted to be working with them and look forward to continuing to grow women’s football together.”
