England welcome back Alex Greenwood, Lauren Hemp and Georgia Stanway as Sarina Wiegman names a 27-player England squad to face Portugal and Spain
The Lionesses currently sit second in League A, Group 3 and will looking secure top spot from their last two games to reach the Finals to be held later this year.
The key trio of Greenwood, Hemp and Stanway all return after all recovering from long-term injuries.
Tottenham’s Ella Morris becomes the latest player to make the step up from the U23s. The 22-year-old right back has impressed with her club and country throughout this season.
Elsewhere, Aston Villa’s Missy Bo Kearns has earned a recall while 19-year-old Michelle Agyemang retains her place after her specatacular 41-second debut goal against Belgium last time out.
Lauren James, meanwhile, remains absent after picking up a hamstring injury in Bristol.
“These are another two important games for us in a big year,” Wiegman said. “Naturally we are preparing for the summer ahead. We saw in February that both Portugal and Spain will provide a big challenge and that excites us. These are the levels we need to compete against to make sure we are the best possible version of ourselves on 5 July when our Euros begin. At the same time, it is important that we focus first on what is right in front of us and ending the Nations League campaign in the best possible way.”
The Lionesses will host Portugal at Wembley Stadium on Friday 30th May (19:45 BST) before travelling to Barcelona to face Spain on Tuesday 3rd June (18:00 BST).
