Lauren Smith has named a 21-player England U19 squad to compete at this month’s U19 European Championships.
England will head to Poland this week as one of eight nations taking part in this summer’s tournament to be played from 15-27 June. The Young Lionesses are in Group B where they will face the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain.
The top two sides in both groups will progress to the semi-finals. The tournament also acts qualification for the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup to be held in Poland in 2026. UEFA have six spots, including hosts Poland, meaning that England will need at least a third place finish in Group B to qualify.
England’s Group B fixtures:
- 15 June: vs Netherlands | 16:00 BST | Stadium Tarnobrzeg, Tarnobrzeg
- 18 June: vs Portugal | 16:00 BST | Stadium Tarnobrzeg, Tarnobrzeg
- 21 June: vs Spain | 18:00 BST | Stadium Stalowa Wola, Stalowa Wola
Every England game will be shown live on BBC iPlayer and BBC Sport.
