Scotland interim manager Michael McArdle has name his first Scotland squad as they kick off their Nations League campaign.

There is an inaugural call-up for Newcastle United’s Freya Gregory. The 22-year-old midfielder has come through the England youth pathway, most recently featuring at U23 level – but recently switch nationality to join the Scotland squad. Emma Lawton, Eilidh Shore and Eilidh Adams are also featuring for the first time.

Elsewhere, there are 10 changes to the side that lost to Finland in the UEFA Euro 2025 Play-Offs in December. In addition to the four mentioned previously, Erin Clachers, Leah Eddie, Amy Muir, Kirsty Maclean, Mia McAulay and Lauren Davidson all return. They replace Nicola Docherty, Jenna Fife, Emma Mukandi, Kelly Clark, Shannon McGregor, Brogan Hay, Amy Rodgers and Jamie-Lee Napier.

McArdle’s side kick off their League A Group 1 campaign away to Austria on 21 February (17:00 GMT kick off). They will then host the Netherlands at Hampden Park on 25 February (19:30 GMT kick off).
