The first FIFA Women’s World Rankings of 2025 have been released with the USA remaining in top spot.
Emma Hayes’ USA still lead the pack, despite their 2-1 defeat to Japan in the final of the SheBelieves Cup. Spain remain in second, Germany in third and England in fourth, unchanged from the last release. Japan are the only side in the top 10 to have moved up the ranking, now sitting in fifth.
Elsewhere, Scotland remain 24th, Wales have dropped a spot to 31st and Northern Ireland stay at 44th. The Republic of Ireland have moved down a place to 26th.
The latest World Rankings feature more teams than ever before (196) with Djibouti making their debut at 195th. Tanzania (138th) and Kenya (142nd)are the biggest climbers having both climbed seven spots.
