WSL Football have announced that Mercedes-Benz UK has become their Official Automotive Partner.

The exclusive multi-year partnership comes into effect on 7 January 2026 and strengthens the brand’s global investment in women’s sport.

“Partnering with Mercedes-Benz UK at this defining moment in the season reflects the scale, momentum and commercial potential of the women’s game,” Zarah Al-Kudcy, Chief Revenue Officer of WSL Football, said. “Bringing a brand of this calibre into WSL Football as our Official Automotive Partner will help us elevate the game, deepen engagement with fans and players and accelerate long-term growth across both leagues.”

Mercedes-Benz UK will be the Presenting Partner of the inaugural play-off match which will take place at the end of this season. As part of the expansion of the Barclays WSL to 14 teams, there is no automatic relegation this campaign. Instead the WSL side that finishes bottom will face the third-placed WSL 2 side for the final spot in England’s top tier for the 2026/2027 campaign.

“The Mercedes-Benz story began 140 years ago with a bold idea that changed the world,” Olivier Reppert, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Mercedes-Benz UK, said. “Now, that same spirit of innovation and ambition drives our partnership with WSL Football. We are proud to collaborate with WSL Football to inspire and engage the next generation of players and fans.”
