Ella Morris has signed a new contract with Tottenham Hotspur.
The 23-year-old joined the North London Club back in July 2024 from Southampton, a club she joined when she was 14. Initially on a three-year contract, the full-back has now put pen to paper on a new long-term deal.
“I’m very excited,” Morris said. “It’s an amazing club to be a part of. Just seeing the growth of the team from last season to this season, how Martin (Ho) has come in and given the girls a sense of belief. It’s an exciting time to be a part of it, where we’re pushing in the league now. It’s definitely a club with ambition, and a club I want to be a part of.”
She made her Spurs debut away at Chelsea in October 2024 and enjoyed a strong second half of the season after overcoming injury, scoring her first goal against Aston Villa the following April.
Her performances caught the eye of England manager Sarina Wiegman and she received her first call-up in May but suffered an ACL injury while on camp.
“Ella is one of the most exciting young full-backs in the country and we are absolutely delighted that she has committed her future to Tottenham Hotspur,” Ho said. “To earn a Lionesses call-up at such a young age says everything about her quality, and the way she has attacked her ACL recovery shows the mentality we value so highly here.”
“From a football perspective, Ella gives us a rare profile, she is dynamic, powerful and brave, with the ability to defend at intensity and also impact the game in the attacking third. Her athleticism, timing of forward runs and quality in possession allow her to stretch teams, create overloads and bring real threat down the flank.”
“We also believe she has significant scope to keep developing here, and our staff are excited about the areas we can add even more value to her game as she moves into the next phase of her career. As she returns to full fitness, we see Ella as a huge part of our future, and we can’t wait to have her back on the grass with the group again very soon.”
