Birmingham City have completed the signing of Michaela Kovacs.
The American defender has joined the club until the end of the season after spending the last two seasons with Norwegian outfit Vålerenga.
Prior to her time in Norway, the 28-year-old has played in Portugal for Boavista and Sweden with Morön and KIF Örebro.
Across her professional career to date, Kovacs has made 124 senior league appearances and scorined 15 goals. She gained Champions League experience with Vålerenga and reprsented the USA at youth level.
“I’m very excited to get started,” she said. “It’s been a really warm welcome from the minute I got off the plane to meeting everyone here. It’s been fantastic so far.
The ambition here is clear, and I want to be part of pushing Birmingham City back to where it belongs.”
