The FA have announced England’s “Homecoming Series” to close out a successful 2025.
The Lionesses will face four different nations in friendlies to be held across the country as they start to prepare for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Sarina Wiegman’s side will first head to the Etihad where they will face Brazil, a preview for the two sides’ meeting in the Finalissima to be held next year. This fixture will kick off on Saturday 25 October 2025 at 17:30 BST.
They will then head to Derby three days later to take on Australia at Pride Park (Tuesday 28 October 2025; 19:00 GMT). They last met in the semi-finals of the 2023 World Cup.
The following month, they will entertain Asian champions China PR at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 29 November (17:30 GMT) before closing out the year against Ghana. The final match will take place at Southampton FC’s St. Mary’s Stadium on Tuesday 2 December 2025 (19:00 GMT).
“It is great that we can return to action after our incredible summer with four exciting fixtures at home,” Wiegman said. “Each opponent will challenge us in different ways, which is exactly what we need with World Cup qualification beginning early next year. It’s very nice to begin against Brazil and it is also special for us to be able to play again for our fans in Manchester for the first time since Euro 2022. We know from the Finalissima in 2023 that they will be very tough opponents.”
“We love taking the team around the country, so to also play Australia in Derby and Ghana
in Southampton as well as the China PR fixture at Wembley gives us a lovely way to say
‘thank you’ for the incredible support we have had this year and before,” she continued.
