Everton Women have announced that GED Investments has become a minority investor in the club.

The deal comes after Everton repositioned it’s women’s team to be able to take on their own external investment.

GED Investments is a privately held Canadian investment corporation based in Ontario, Canada and this marks their first entry into women’s football. The agreement will enable the Toffees to continue in squad investment, enhance the fan experience at Goodison Park and drive commercial growth. It will also see David Beeston, CEO of Pursuit Sports, and Angus Kinnear join the Everton Women Board.

“I am delighted to welcome GED to the Everton family,” Angus Kinnear, CEO of Everton Football Club, said: “This investment is a testament to the vision we have for Everton Women, and a reflection of our aligned sporting ambition. I look forward to working with them as we embark on this journey.”

“We are thrilled to be joining such an historic and storied team like Everton Women,” GED Investments stated. “The team’s move to Goodison Park only enhances our excitement about what the future holds for Everton Women and the sport.”
