Anna Josendal has become Liverpool’s third arrival of the winter transfer window.
The Norway foward arrives on Merseyside after two seasons with Damallsvenskan side Hammarby IF. She will wear the number 21 shirt.
“It feels amazing to be here,” she said. “This has been my dream since I was a little kid – Liverpool has always been my favourite team and my whole family is supporting them as well, so it’s big for me.”
“I spoke a lot with Gareth and Andy [O’Boyle] and that felt so good, and also to play in the Barclays Women’s Super League, the best league in Europe, is something I really look forward to. To play for this shirt is going to be so special, so I can’t wait to get started.”
The 24-year-old joins after spending her early club career at Toppserien outfit Avaldsnes IL before moving to Rosenborg BK. While there, she won the Norwegian Women’s Cup and was named Toppserien Player of the Year after registering eight goals and nine assists in 24 appearances.
Having represented her country from U15 level, she made her debut for the senior side in June 2022 and went on to represent them at the 2023 Women’s World Cup.
