Spain have returned to the top of the World Rankings in the latest update from FIFA.
After a busy quarter, there has been plenty of movement both in the top ten and further down. A reminder that rankings are based on 90 minutes of football and do not take extra time/penalty shoot-out wins into account.
Spain leapfrogged the USA back up to first after reaching the final of Euro 2025, earning five back-to-back wins along the way.
A quarter-final run that included a 4-1 demolition of Germany has seen Sweden rise three places to third while European champions England have moved up to fourth. France have also climbed significantly to move inside the top ten and take up sixth spot.
Despite lifting the Copa América title for the ninth times, Brazil have dropped to seventh, after losing to France and drawing twice with Colombia in normal time.
Bangladesh recorded the biggest climb of any nation, moving up 24 places to 104th with a gain of 80.51 point. Vanuatu (up 19 to 100) have also made progress as have the Solomon Islands (up 13 to 73rd).
