The draw for the Group Stage of the Subway Women’s League Cup took place on Thursday morning with the competition getting underway in September.
21 teams from the Barclays WSL and Barclays WSL 2 have been drawn into five groups:
Group A:
- Nottingham Forest
- Everton
- Manchester City
- Newcastle United
Group B:
- Sheffield United
- Sunderland
- Liverpool
- Durham
Group C:
- Southampton
- Brighton
- West Ham
- Charlton
- Portsmouth
Group D:
- Crystal Palace
- Leicester City
- Ipswich Town
- London City Lionesses
Group E:
- Aston Villa
- Birmingham City
- Tottenham Hotspur
- Bristol City
Arsenal and Chelsea will join at the quarterfinal stage. Should Manchester United fail to qualify for the Champions League group stage or new Europa League, they will be drawn into Group A or B.
The dates for the group stages of the competition are as follows:
- 24/25 September
- 8/9 October (Group C only)
- 18/19 October
- 12/13 November (Group C only)
- 22/23 November
