Norway midfielder Olaug Tvedten has become Brighton and Hove Albion’s first signing of the winter transfer window.

The 25-year-old arrives at the Seagulls from Vålerenga where she has spent the last five years.

During her time with the Oslo-based side, she won two Toppserien titles and three Norwegian Women’s Cups. She ended both the 2023 and 2025 season with the Golden Boot and was named Toppserien Player of the Year in 2024.

In addition, she brings Champions League experience to Dario Vidošić’s side and has received one cap for Norway after making her way through the youth pathway.

“We’re really excited to welcome Olaug to the team,” Vidošić said. “She’s a technical goal-scoring midfielder with real quality, and we’re looking forward to seeing the impact she can make heading into the second half of the season.”
